Alisa is passionate about colors, design and homes. These topics have fascinated her for as long as she can remember. Alisa believes that homes need to reflect the homeowner’s personality and style, and feel welcoming and comfortable. But, she also knows how important it is that homes function well and serve their many purposes. Alisa values reusing and repurposing belongings and enjoys seeking out green home products.
Alisa grew up in Burlington, Vermont, and earned her B.A. in anthropology and ecology from Hampshire College. Alisa began At Home Designs in 2006 as a home color consulting business. She then earned her certification as a Window Treatment Consultant from the Window Coverings Association of America followed by her certification as an Interior Redesigner and Stager from the Academy of Design and Decorating in Peterborough, New Hampshire. She now offers complete interior decorating services and has worked with over 200 clients.
Alisa is known for her practical approach to decorating, talent for design and the personal attention she shows each client. She works on all sizes and styles of homes and within a variety of budgets. Alisa has lived in central Vermont since 1997 with her husband and their three boys.
